Menezes (1972) Career Development Associate Professor of Finance at MIT Sloan School of Management. \n\n\n\nProfessor Schmidt will discuss the different ways that technology influences workers’ earnings and the demand for labor\, specifically addressing the distinction between what happens to jobs and what happens to individual people.  \n\n\n\nFollowing his presentation\, Professor Schmidt will answer live and pre-submitted questions with our host moderator\, Huiyu Li\, co-head of EERN and research advisor at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. \n\n\n\nThis is a virtual event hosted by the EmergingTech Economic Research Network (EERN).
