SUMMARY:Conversations on Equity: Women\, Workforce and the Wage Gap
DESCRIPTION:The last 75 years ushered in a convergence in the labor force participation of men and women. In 1948\, only 33% of women participated in the labor force\, compared with 87% of men. Fast-forward to 2022\, when 57% of women and 69% of men participated in the labor force. Despite this convergence\, pay gaps and other structural barriers still prevent women from benefitting from their labor more fully. The next event in the St. Louis Fed’s Conversations on Equity series will explore barriers to participation and more equitable wages that women face in the labor market. This in-person event is free to attend but registration is required by August 16\, 2023. \n\n\n\n\nRegister\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent details\n\n\n\nThis event will feature a discussion with William M.
