DESCRIPTION:The Richmond Fed has spent the last several years examining the crucial connection between housing costs and the broader economy. With housing accounting for nearly 20% of consumer spending\, current supply and demand imbalances are impacting both national and local economies. This District Dialogues event will be a deep dive into how the housing market is influencing inflation\, labor mobility and economic stability and efforts in the region to address issues in the housing market.  \n\n\n\nJoin us in person on Tuesday\, April 1 at the Richmond Fed’s Charlotte Branch as we bring together economists and industry leaders to unpack these issues and more.  If travel to Charlotte is not possible for you\, we will also offer a livestreamed version of the event.
