SUMMARY:Rural Community Action Assembly: Rural Health Funding and Community Readiness
DESCRIPTION:The Rural Health Transformation (RHT) Program currently has up to $193 million available for investment in rural areas in Pennsylvania. Beginning in 2026\, this five-year federal program aims to expand workforce opportunities\, improve health outcomes\, and catalyze resilient economic growth in rural communities. \n\n\n\nThe RHT Program is designed to invest in three important areas: \n\n\n\n\n\nPeople – Develop your local workforce with new skills and opportunities.\n\n\n\nTechnology – Bring cutting-edge tools and resources to rural healthcare and beyond.\n\n\n\nInnovation – Test bold new strategies that promote sustainable care models for years to come.\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat makes this different? This funding is designed to spark collaboration across sectors — connecting healthcare with education\, business\, technology\, and economic and workforce development. Cohosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia and Penn State’s Center for Economic and Community Development\, this year’s series is free but requires registration. A video recording and event materials will be made available after the sessions.
