Experts from academia\, industry\, and policy institutions will gather at the conference to discuss the altered economics of agricultural inputs. \n\n\n\nIn-person cost $40. \n\n\n\nRegistration deadline: December 2\, 2024. \n\n\n\n\nRegister\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAgenda\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n8:15 am CT \n\n\n\n\n\nBreakfast and registration\n\n\n\n*For in person audiences \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n9:00 am CT \n\n\n\n\n\nWelcome Remarks\n\n\n\nLeslie McGranahan\, Senior Vice President\, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n9:10 am CT \n\n\n\n\n\nSession I: Agricultural Inputs and Market Shifts\n\n\n\nKate Vaiknoras\, Research Agricultural Economist\, Economic Research Service\, U.S. Department of Agriculture \n\n\n\nBrian Briggeman\, Professor and Director\, Arthur Capper Cooperative Center\, Kansas State University \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n10:40 am CT \n\n\n\n\n\nSession II: Key Topics Related to Farm Inputs\n\n\n\nVictor Cabrera\, Professor and Extension Specialist\, University of Wisconsin-Madison \n\n\n\nBruce Erickson\, Clinical Professor of Digital Agriculture\, Purdue University \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n12:00 pm CT \n\n\n\n\n\nLuncheon and Fireside Chat\n\n\n\nDavid Oppedahl\, Policy Advisor\, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago\, moderator \n\n\n\nMatt Carstens\, President & CEO\, Landus Cooperative \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n1:30 pm CT \n\n\n\n\n\nSession III: Panel on Financing Farm Inputs\n\n\n\nNate Kauffman\, Senior Vice President\, Economist\, and Omaha Branch Executive\, Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City\, moderator \n\n\n\nPanelists: \n\n\n\nMichael Gunderson\, Chief Credit Officer\, Farm Credit Illinois \n\n\n\nDavid Hardin\, Hardin Farms \n\n\n\nSusan Whitson\, CEO\, First Bank\, and President\, First of Waverly Corporation \n\n\n\nJohn Winger\, Director\, A&T Retail Credit Delivery – US & Canada\, John Deere Finance \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n2:45 pm CT \n\n\n\n\n\nClosing Remarks\n\n\n\nAustan Goolsbee\, President and CEO\, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented by\n\n\n\n\n\nLocation\n\n\n\nThis is a hybrid event with in-person and virtual attendance options.
