With more than six million people employed by hospitals\, the industry ranks as the sixth-largest employer nationally. But as health care evolves\, so do questions about its impact on the existing workforce as well as those seeking to reskill and join this thriving field.  \n\n\n\nOn Dec. 16\, join us for a special Dialogue with the Fed event that delves into research about health care trends regarding its workforce and AI. Nicole Summers-Gabr\, a senior researcher with the Community Development team at the St. Louis Fed\, will give a presentation exploring the transformative potential of AI\, its current adoption rates and the newest data on “opportunity occupations”—careers that require less than four years of experience\, but pay above the median wage.   \n\n\n\nFollowing her presentation\, Senior Vice President and Louisville Regional Executive Seema Sheth will lead a discussion and Q&A session with a panel of health care leaders: \n\n\n\n\n\nSondra Davis\, chief human resources officer\, North Mississippi Health Services\n\n\n\nDr. Alexander Garza\, chief community health officer\, SSM Health \n\n\n\nJess Walker\, HR business partner\, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Institute for Community Health Innovation\n\n\n\n\n\nThis hybrid event is free and open to the public\, but registration is required to attend.
