How are families, workers, businesses and communities navigating the postpandemic economy? Join the Dallas Fed for a community listening session on Thursday, April 20, to explore experiences in the Permian Basin. This in-person event will be held at Odessa College. Please register by April 17.
This Fed Listens event, part of a series of discussions held nationwide, will contribute to the Dallas Fed’s ongoing conversation with community partners throughout the diverse region we serve. As the Federal Reserve works to support inclusive economic growth and opportunity, understanding the perspectives of a broad range of stakeholders is critical.
The program will feature Federal Reserve Governor Michelle Bowman, Dallas Fed President Lorie K. Logan, Senior Vice President Alfreda B. Norman and local leaders from the public, private and nonprofit sectors. They will discuss economic conditions for lower-income communities in the Permian Basin, as well as education and workforce development efforts in the region. Separate panels will focus on early childhood to high school education, career readiness, and business operations and outlook.
