Pathways to Progress: Workforce Strategies for Kentucky’s Emerging Adults

Last year, the St. Louis Fed’s Community Development team held roundtables to better understand the needs of our region’s workforce, and community leaders from across Kentucky offered their views. This event builds on relationships formed during that process and leverages analysis to foster a discussion about structural barriers to labor force participation in the region.

In 2022, 17,500 young adults (ages 16-24) in the Louisville region were not working or in school. However, programs that could help shape future workforce trends are showing progress.

Join us to hear from business and industry leaders, community organizations and educational partners from across the state who have deployed successful approaches to addressing many of the challenges that hinder young adults from participating more fully in the labor market, such as those involving housing, transportation and child care. Speakers will share how they are working together to expand opportunities for Kentucky’s young adults.

You will have an opportunity to submit questions for a Q&A session in advance during the registration process. Lunch will be served. There is no charge to attend, but registration by May 24 is required.
