The Unemployment Claims Monitor provides data on initial and continued claims for unemployment insurance as well as claimants’ demographic data. We also report data on claimants in the Short-Time Compensation (Workshare), Extended Benefits, State Additional Benefits, Federal Employee, and Ex-Service Member programs.
The Center for Workforce and Economic Opportunity (CWEO) launched the Unemployment Claims Monitor on May 1, 2020, to provide comprehensive and easily accessible data on unemployment insurance claims so that policymakers, researchers, workforce development programs, and nonprofits can have an additional perspective into trends on unemployment.
