Dialogue with the Fed—The Challenges and Opportunities Facing Young Adults

May 23 @ 8:30 am 10:00 am CDT

Group of diverse students studying together while sitting around a table between classes at school.

A public health emergency, recession, high inflation and the tightest labor market since World War II.

In the U.S., young adults (ages 18 to 24) have experienced what amounts to two distinct economies early in their lives. How are they faring in today’s job market and what do their financial and mental health outcomes look like?

Each year, the St. Louis Fed’s Institute for Economic Equity examines the nation’s current economic outlook through an equity lens. This year, the institute’s 2024 State of Economic Equity report focuses on young adults.

Join us for a discussion of these and other questions during a hybrid Dialogue with the Fed presentation.

The event will feature networking opportunities, a presentation about key takeaways from the 2024 State of Economic Equity report, and a panel discussion and Q&A session with community leaders from a diverse range of organizations working to empower young adults.

This event is open to the public and there is no cost to attend, but registration is required. A complimentary breakfast and validated parking will be provided for in-person attendees. Virtual participants will receive detailed login instructions as the event date nears.
