The Richmond Fed has spent the last several years examining the crucial connection between housing costs and the broader economy. With housing accounting for nearly 20% of consumer spending, current supply and demand imbalances are impacting both national and local economies. This District Dialogues event will be a deep dive into how the housing market is influencing inflation, labor mobility and economic stability and efforts in the region to address issues in the housing market.
Join us in person on Tuesday, April 1 at the Richmond Fed’s Charlotte Branch as we bring together economists and industry leaders to unpack these issues and more. If travel to Charlotte is not possible for you, we will also offer a livestreamed version of the event. Simply select which option works best for you when you register.
District Dialogues events are open to all community members, and there is no cost to register and attend, however, registration is required. Attendees are invited to join us for refreshments and networking prior to the event.
