Forum: Housing Affordability and Community Ownership

On Monday, June 22, 2026, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, in partnership with Change Capital Fund, will host an in-person event on community-owned housing and tools that enable local groups to own buildings or land.

Discussions will cover the business case for community ownership and how New York City can foster new models for acquiring, developing, and preserving community-owned housing. The program will highlight examples of community-owned projects in New York City.
