Each year, the Federal Reserve Banks conduct the Small Business Credit Survey to learn about small business’ financial conditions, their credit needs, and emerging issues. This survey gives voice to thousands of small business owners. By sharing your perspective, you can inform researchers, policymakers, small business advocates, and the public about your successes and challenges as you navigate doing business.

If you own a small business, I invite you to take this year’s Small Business Credit Survey.

Tell us what you’re experiencing. Our team will combine your responses with thousands of others from across the United States to learn what doing business means for businesses like yours. Take a few minutes and respond today.

The Federal Reserve Banks partner with over 100 organizations that serve small businesses to distribute the survey to their networks. Learn about the benefits of survey partnership from some of their stories. Would you like to join the effort? Learn how.

The Small Business Credit Survey (SBCS) is an annual, national survey of firms with fewer than 500 employees. Respondents are asked to share information about their business performance, financing needs and choices, and borrowing experiences. Responses to the SBCS provide insights on the dynamics behind lending trends and shed light on various segments of the small business population.
